The Australian Eucalyptus Oil Company was established in 1895 by Anne McKean. It is now run by Tony Taig, the fifth generation of the McKean family. Our company produces the world's strongest smelling eucalyptus oil in Central Victoria.
Twelve years ago my father died of cancer, and his doctor said that one of the possible reasons for getting it could have been exposure to farm chemicals. This made me think about all of the chemicals we are exposed to now and wanted to make a change.
I set out on a quest to discover which chemicals are the most dangerous to people on a daily basis. The more I looked into it, the more clear it became that household cleaning products have many more touch points in a day and do far more harm than several other hazardous chemical applications. This is why I am so passionate about making natural products with no toxic chemicals in them.
We now believe we are a leader in natural cleaning products not only in Australia but around the world. Our entire product line is based on our wonderful Pure Castile Soap, which is the world's most natural soap. This soap is rarely used as a cleaning substance by other companies across the world because it is too expensive. We take pleasure in only using essential oils to scent our products.
Our mission is to make beautiful smelling natural cleaning products that do a great job with as few natural ingredients as possible. We test all of our products on people with sensitive skin not on animals.
